Peaceful Life in a Dayak Village: West Kalimantan
The Iban Dayak tribe lives in Kapuas Hulu (West Kalimantan, Indonesia), Serawak (Malaysia) and Brunei Darussalam.
People who live in Kapuas Hulu live in traditional longhouses known as rumah panjae, rumah betang or rumah redang.
At the dwellings, people weave fabric, carve wood, dance and take part in tribal ceremonies.
The people survive mostly on dry-land cultivation. Once in a while, they catch fish in the river.
