Luvverred this Barrie so much. I really have to get over to Yogyakarta and checko some of these places you keep writing about.
Hi Trevor,
The way you ascended Borobudur is really the way you should to experience and follow the life of Bhudda on the bas-reliefs. I actually climbed straight up the very first time I went, but the folowing 11 times, I took each level at ease.
Hi Jools,
You won’t regret going over to Yogya. But I would reccommend staying in town for at least a week to ten days so you can experience the place and see all the places. Let me know when you decide to go over and I’ll put you in touch with some friends of mine who live over there.
Absolutely stunning photograph Barrie. You have caught the fading light perfectly. I toyed with the idea of taking photos of every panel when I was at Borobudur. After seeing your photo I just might do that this year.

Absolutely brilliant Barrie. When I went to Boro I didn’t climb straight up like a lot of people do. I wandered around each level and took my time. Loved the place.
