A Village Uprooted: West Java
There you are enjoying life on your land, a land that belonged to your family for a long time, and suddenly the government comes along and says “Piss off, we need this land”. Reminds of the Soeharto days. Apparently, more than 4,000 people in Pajang subdistrict in Tangerang municipality are to be moved and their lands used for the expansion of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Along with Pajang residents, hundreds of families from the Batu Ceper and Benda districts will also be gradually evicted for the project.
A new terminal will be built on the 63-hectare Pajang area according to a report.

He said a study was underway to find a new location for the evicted residents.
