Dina & Tepung Mata Beras: Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia
Recently when I was in Yogyakarta, I took an early morning stroll up to Jalan Poncowinatan together with Candika so I could photograph Pasar Krangggan, a local market.
After a couple of hours under the ever increasing heat, Candika suggested we go down and have breakfast with her friend, Dina. Being hungry I didn’t object!. Dina was putting on a cooking promotion for a new product called Tepung Mata Beras (Coarse Rice Powder).

The locals had gathered to sample this new product as were many housewives, and, Dina was in her element blissfully creating all kinds of delicious yummies with the new product. From what I saw, it was mixed with water and spices and surprisingly the results were palatable.

I obtained a chair and sat in the shade and enjoyed the antics, and, having food brought to me when it was cooked. How chauvinistic!.

Dina is a lovely young lady and, believe it or not, still single!. Oh, and she is bloody damn good cook!.
