Bakso - Meatballs on the Go: Indonesia
One of the foods with Chinese culinary overtones is bakso, which literally means pork ball in some Chinese dialects. Originating from northern China the pork meatball came rolling down into Southeast Asia and set foot in Indonesia some 20 years ago.

Bubur: Indonesia
Some people say it’s baby food, and others comment, “What to do, nasi sudah menjadi bubur” (the rice has already become porridge) — meaning it’s hopeless, because something has been done entirely wrong with disastrous results. In other words, because of too much water, steamed rice has turned into porridge and is thus no longer fit to serve with side dishes.

From Doufu to Tahu: Indonesia
Tofu is said to have been invented more than 4,000 years ago and in all those years it has been a very nutritious foodstuff in China, its land of origin, where the byproduct of soybeans became known as tofou and later on was more popularly called doufu.

Biofuel and Indonesia
However imperative and urgent fuel diversification may be to reduce Indonesia’s dependence on fossil fuels, the biodiesel production plan announced by the government Monday will remain mere fantasy unless the biofuel industry is included in an integrated energy development program and supported with tax incentives, subsidies and regulatory infrastructure.
