Jakarta’s Best: Jakarta, Indonesia
If you are heading over to Jakarta in the near future and like to party, then the Jakarta Post has put together a list of some of the hotspots to go cruising and have a real fabulous night out.
Big Bucks Burger: Jakarta, Indonesia
I have never been a great lover of junk food and most certainly wouldn’t fork out the Rupiah for the cholesterol-high shit. But, Candika did twist my arm when we visited Bali a month back and dragged me (screaming!) to Pizza Hut.
MONAS – the National Monument: Jakarta, Indonesia
Situated in the centre of Jakarta city is the National Monument, or, MONAS. It is one of several historical monuments to be found in the city and it was erected on 80 hectares of land in Monas square. It is a commemoration monument in recognition of the people of Indonesia and their fight against the Dutch.

More Old Finds in Jakarta: Indonesia
Recently I have putting up stories about construction work being undertaken in Jakarta’s Old Town and the artifacts and historical items they have uncovered.
National Museum: Jakarta, Indonesia
For anyone interested in the cultural and national heritage of Indonesia then the one place worth a visit is the National Museum.
Taman Mini Indonesia: Jakarta, Indonesia
To the east of Jakarta central, about 18 klms or a 30 min drive, is located the 300 acre extensive park known as Taman Mini (miniature park). This cultural area provides visitors with an overall view of all the 33 provinces of the archipelago in the form of traditional houses, handicrafts and clothing.
