By Barrie | No Comments » Taman Sari is a part of the Kraton, or Sultan’s Palace, in Yogyakarta. It is a definite ‘must see’ if you are visiting this cultural city. The best times to go are early in the morning and late afternoon when the light is excellent for photography. At both times you will at least avoid the tourist buses that daily fill the carparks.

Both places are tourism magnets and if you are planning a trip to visit either of these then I suggest you get there early in the morning or late afternoon.

By Barrie | 2 Comments » The sacred Brahma Vihara Arama is located in the north of Bali, south of Singaraja and to the east of Pengastulan. A split-level monastery, its unique feature is on the very top - a replica (albeit small version) of the sacred Borobudur Bhuddist Temple. Of course, my wife Candika being a Bhuddist wanted her foto taken!.
